| Description | VEGFA, vascular endothelial growth factor A, is a growth factor, which binds Vegf receptors to promote cell proliferation and angiogenesis, mostly through KDR (VEGFR2) on endothelial cells. Vegfa may stimulate tumor angiogenesis in several tumor types and is overexpressed in a number of tumor types including, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and brain metastases in breast cancer. |
